Show Your Gratitude to The Right People
When I wrote my groom wedding speech, I decided to start off by incorporating my thanks for everyone who was there that day, so that they would feel appreciated. I didn't leave anyone out, from the bride to my family, even my friends - everyone got a special thanks. Your groom wedding speech should also consider the father! Be sure you congratulate and thank him for giving you his daughter for the rest of your lives. Put him at the top of the list when thanking people, then move on.
Family Acknowledgements
No matter how many times I tell the story of how we met, the groom wedding speech just wasn't complete without it, so it was included. Everyone loves hearing that story, and it gives a great sense of closure to the relationship in general, especially for the people in the wedding party.
After a short story, I will say thank you to my family. This is a good opportunity to tell those in your life how much they mean to you and have helped you get to where you are. You should thank them for being in your life and for all their support even if they did not help with the wedding preparation directly.
Your wedding isn't just about the two of you; everyone else was a part of the process, large or small. You might find yourself racking your brain trying to find things to put in your groom wedding speech, but once you start with thanking everyone there, the rest comes easily!
